Abstract
AIM: To investigate the protective effect of hyperoxia on myocardial ischemia reperfusion. METHODS: Rabbit's ischemia reperfusion model was carried out by ligation of left anterior coronary descending and removing the ligation after 40 min. Balanced salt solution (BSS) (groupⅠ) and hyperoxia liquid (groupⅡ) were given, perfusion 10 min before ischemia of myocardium, perfusion 10 min before reperfusion, respectively. The changes of electrocardiogram, activity of CK and amount of MDA and SOD in plasma were observed following acute ischemia and reperfusion. RESULTS: In group Ⅱ, the elevated of S T segment in electrocardiogram which was caused by myocardial ischemia was attenuated, and activity of CK in myocardial ischemia reperfusion was lower than that of the other group. The amount of SOD was significantly higher in group Ⅱ than in groupⅠ, while the amount of MDA in group Ⅱ was lower significantly. CONCLUSION:The hyperoxia liquid has obviously protective effects on myocardial ischemia reperfusion.
