A Comment on Education Influences of the Modern West Humanism

Humanism which was originated in the rational humanism tradition of ancient Greece has developed into the modern west non-rational humanism with the supplement of the custom humanism and the biology humanism in Europe renaissance. The modern humanism education thought is a mixture of humanism,psychology and pedagogy,and it is a critique and resistance to the scientism education outlook and the society orientation education outlook.From the perspective of humanism,some new education idea,educational purpose,education principle,education content,education process,education method has been proposed,and they have brought positive influence upon the western education idea,theory and practice.However,there exist inevitably some understanding flaws of humanism which caused a lot of negative effect to education.
