Abstract

The post-quota era is,according to the Agreement on Textiles and Clothing,the members of WTO would cancel formally all the textile quota barriers from the 1st Jan 2005,which indicates the textile garment industry has went into the free trade new age.The paper discusses the present status,the international environment and challenge,the friction issue and countermeasure of Chinese textile trade in post-quota era.
