Abstract
Objective To study the relationship between nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD),obesity and insulin resistance.Method High, weight, waist circumference(WI),hip circumference(HI),serum lipid, fasting and2-hour postprandial blood glucose and insulin were detected in59patients with typeⅡdiabetes accompanying fatty liver(DF),43patients with typeⅡdiabetes without fatty liver(NDF).Body mass index(BMI),waist-hip ratio(WHR)and insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR)were calculated.Data were statistically analyzed. Results The results showed that BMI,WI,WHR,TC,TG,fasting insulin(FINS)and HOMA-IR were signifi-cantly elevated in the subjects of DF,compared with those of NDF (P0.05).Conclusion NAFLD were intimately associated with obesity and insulin resistance.
