An Investigation into Traffic Accident Crimes

Abstract

The wide application of automobile brings people a great deal of convenience,but at the same time it carries with it some inherent risks.Traffic accidents share the essential characteristics of risks which are human-related and have serious consequences which can be regulated.Traffic accident is defined as a crime under the first penal code issues by P.R.China.After several modifications,drunken driving is listed as a crime under the Criminal Law Amendment(8th) Bill.It is thus necessary to sort out the ruling criterion of traffic crime and its compositions to establish a reasonable system of punishing traffic accidents.
