Study on Relationships among IT Resources,IT Capabilities and Enterprise Sustainable Competitive Advantage

Abstract

It firstly introduces the concepts and key contents of IT resources,IT capabilities on the basis of the resource-based view of the firm.The relationship between IT resources and IT capabilities is explored.Then,the relationship model of IT resources,IT capabilities and sustainable competitive advantage is proposed,including the determinant variable of core competence.The influencing mechanism of IT resources and IT capabilities on core competence,and the role of core competence in the decision of competitive advantage are well explained.Finally,the evolutionary path and method from IT-enabled competitive advantage to sustainable competitive advantage are expounded.The research conclusions provide a theoretical basis for enterprises to obtain a sustainable competitive advantage by IT system development.
