Target Selection of Protecting Farmland at Present Stage in China

In retrospect to history of protecting farmland in China, the paper reconsiders the targets of protecting farmland. The author thinks, in the field of farmland protection stress should be lay on both quantity and quality, at same time on the ecology as well at present stage in China. We should improve mechanism of farmland protection in order to lay a good foundation for accomplishment of sustainable development. Lastly, the paper discusses the concrete ways for realizing the targets of protecting farmland.
