Abstract

There are mainly four kinds of neutral grounding modes for distribution network: neutral non-grounding mode, neutral grounding mode through arc suppression coil, neutral grounding mode through small resistance, and neutral grounding mode through arc suppression coil and line-selecting resistance in parallel. The features, the scope of application, the security and reliability of power supply of these four neutral grounding modes were analyzed. The results show that neutral grounding mode through arc suppression coil and line-selecting resistance in parallel has the widest scope of applications and great fault line selecting performance.Besides the increased costs is not large, and the security and reliability of distribution network operation can be further improved. This neutral grounding mode has a good prospect.
