Pile Groups' Settlement Calculation Based on Mindlin Displacement Formula

Abstract

In this paper, the author derives formula induced by different pile's skin frictional drag and pile tips force, using Mindlin's displacement result. The author gives a method to compute the pile group's settlement under different pile's length, distance between piles and pile's skin frictional drag. Through an example's analysis, the computing result is more appropriate than Mindlin's stress result.
