Abstract
An ELISA assay was developed for detecting CDV using the recombinant N protein of CDV as coating antigen. The N protein was expressed from plasmid pET-N in E.coli Rosetta 2 (DE3) host cell, verified by SDS PAGE and Western blot assays and purified. The ELISA assay was established under optimized antigen concentrations and antibody dilutions. About 270 serum samples were detected by this method and Synbiotics ELISA kit. The agreement ratio between the two methods was 92.4 %. The assay provided a useful tool for epidemiological investigation of Canine Distemper in Canine.
