Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical value of artificial nasolacrimal stent for the treatment of chronic dacryocystitis.Methods 32 cases(40 eyes)of chronic dacryocystitis were implanted with artificial nasolacrimal stent retrogradely,then the clinical effects were analyzed.Results All patients were followed up and post-operation follow-up period was 6~12 months on average,30 eyes out of 40 eyes were cured,no secretion was found after lacrimal passages' irrigating,no secretion was found in 5 eyes after lacrimal passages were not irrigated unobstructedly,the cure rate was 87.5%.Conclusion Artificial nasolacrimal stent is a safe,minimally invasive method to operate easily,needless to incise the skin,with shorter convalescent period,it is an clinically effective way.
