Abstract

Objective: To optimize extraction techniques for flavonoids(naringin, hesperidin, neohesperidin) from Fructus Aurantii Immaturus by using central composite design and response surface method. Methods: Reflux time, ethanol concentration and solvent ratio served as independent variables while the total extracted flavonoid served as the dependent variable.Based on multiple linear regression and binomial expression, central composite design and response surface method were employed to optimize the extracting process, and predicative analysis was conducted. Results: The optimized extraction conditions showed that ethanol concentration(60%),extraction time(60 minutes) and the ratio of solvent to material(26 mL·g-1) affected the maximum flavonoid production(22.02%).Conclusion: The optimum process, simple in methodology, yet yields reliable results.
