Abstract
Objective To detect the expressions of Raf kinase inhibitor protein(RKIP) and vascular epithelial growth factor-C(VEGF-C) in cervical carcinoma and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN) so as to investigate the potential clinical significance of the two factors in cervical lesions. Methods Specimens were collected from the experimental group of 30 cases of patients with cervical carcinoma and 30 cases from intraepithelial neoplasia, and specimens were also collected from the control group of 20 cases of normal cervical tissues. The expressions of RKIP and VEGF-C were detected immunohistochemically and related data were analyzed. Results The density of positive expressions was most evident in normal cervical tissues and decreased in CIN and cervical cancer gradually and the differences were significant(P0.01),while the expression of VEGF-C in cervical cancer was most evident and the density decreased in CIN and normal cervical tissues and the differences were significant(P0.01).The expressions of RKIP and VEGF-C showed negatively correlation in cervical lesions(r=-0.385,P0.01).Conclusion There exists the up-regulation of Raf kinase inhibitor protein and down-regulation of vascular epithelial growth factor-C in cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and cervical carcinoma, which provides the possibility for the medication of protein kinase inhibitor in the cervical lesions.
