Abstract
The starting point of establishing rules and forms of Chinese classical poetry includes the exploration of rhythm and the use of level and oblique tones.The earliest exploration of Chinese rhythm concerned the introduction of Buddhism in the Han Dynasty.When poets in the Han Dynasty wrote Five Characters Poetry,some of them used the research results about Chinese rhythm.The study of Chinese rhythm was progressed increasingly in the Wei and Jin Dynasties.At the same time sentences and couplets of Five Characters Poetry accordding to the rules and forms of Chinese classical poetry appeared in abundance.It shows that poets in the Wei and Jin Dynasties paid close attention to rhyme rules.
