Abstract
Butyraldehyde 1,2-propanediol acetal was synthesized by means of the reaction of butyraldehyde with 1,2-propanediol using H3PW6Mo6O40 /PAn as catalyst. The influence of the molar ratio of butyraldehyde to 1,2-propanediol,catalyst content and reaction time on the product yield was investigated. It was defined that the optimum conditions are as follows:the molar ratio of butyraldehyde to 1,2-propanediol is 1:1.6,the mass ratio of catalyst to the reactants is 1.2%, cyclohexane is water entraining agent, and the reaction time is 1.0 h.The yield of butyraldehyde 1,2-propanediol acetal is 95.6% under these conditions.
