Clinical observation of compound glycyrrhizin combined with ebastine in treatment of chronic urticaria

Objective To observe the clinical effects and safety of compound glycyrrhizin together with ebastine for chronic urticaria.Methods 80 patients with chronic urticaria were randomized to divide into the treatment group and control group.Two groups all received ebastine(10 mg,once daily),at the same time the treatment group received compound glycyrrhizin(2 tablet,3 time daily).The efficiency was evaluated at the end of 4-week treatment.Results The clinical effectiveness rates of treatment and control group were,respectively,100% and 71.1%;they have a significant difference(P 0.01).Conclusion Compound glycyrrhizin combined with ebastine in treatment of chronic urticaria is effective,safe and suggest new therapeutic opportunities for treating this disease.
