Abstract
Objective To investigate the feasibility of the disk diffusion methods for screening Pseudomonas aeruginosa producing metallo-β-lactamase.MethodsMetallo-β-lactamases produced by Pseudomonas aeruginosa was detected by using 2-mercaptopropionic acid and EDTA-Na2 in the M-H agar.Results64 Pseudomonas aeruginosa which resistance for Imipenem acid or Ceftazidime have 9 producing metallo-β-lactamase.The proportion of positive is 14.1%.ConclusionThe method is simple, convenient and sensitive for screening metallo-β-lactamase-producing bacteria.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
