Abstract

Objective To analyze the relationship between the common clinical and pathological data and cervical lymph node metastasis in OSCC and investigate the value of the clinical and pathological factors for predicting cervical lymph node metastasis.MethodsOne hundred patients with OSCC were included in this study.Clinical parameters(sex, age, primary location, course of diseases,T stages and N stages) and pathological parameters(depth of invasion, fashion of tumor invasion, grade of pathology, degree of lymph cell invasion, adhesion, continuity of basement member, angiogenesis of tumor and proliferation) were statistically analyzed in regard to the association with lymph node metastasis.ResultsThe T stages, depth of invasion, the positive rate of VEGF,PCNA and E-CD expression, and MVD were significantly associated with lymph node metastasis.ConclusionThe T stages, depth of invasion, the positive rate of VEGF,PCNA and E-CD expression, and MVD were the factors which may serve as parameters to predict lymph node metastasis in OSCC.
