Abstract

Objective:To study the relationship between inflammation and endothelia dysfunction in patients with coronary heart disease. Methods:Blood samples were collected from 30 acute myocardial infarction patients,30 angina pectoris and 30 healthy control subjects.Serum C-reactive protein (CRP)and plasma fibrinogen (Fg)were analyzed by immunonephelometry, von Willebrand factor (VWF) was determined by enzyme-linked immunoadsorbent assay(ELISA) .Results:The levels of CRP,Fg VWF in acute myocardial infarction patients were higher than in angina pectoris patients (all P 0.01) ,the levels of the three factors in angina pectoris patients were higher than in control group ( P 0.01), and positively correlated to each other (all P 0.01). Conclusion: Inflammatory acute phase protein maybe play an important role in atherosclerosis by impaired endothelial function. The severity of coronary heart disease was determined by levels of inflammatory markers.
