Abstract
Objective To understand individual dose level of the workers with external exposure to radiation in Sichuan province, and provide evidence to radiation protection. Methods Thermoluminescence dosimetry method was used to conduct surveillance among the workers exposed to radiation in Sichuan in 2009,the results were compared with that in 2008.Results A total of 7871 workers were surveyed in 2009.The annual effective dose per capita was 0.93 mSv/a.The annual collective dose was 7.34(per capita,Sv).The workers with effective dose less than 5mSv/a accounted for 99.82%.The annual dose of 0.15% of the workers exceeded the national standard 20mSv/a.The annual dose of 0.03% of the workers exceeded the national standard 50mSv/a.In 2008,a total of 7499 workers exposed to radiation were surveyed, and he annual effective dose per capita was 1.03 mSv/a,the annual collective dose was 7.79(per capita,Sv).Compared with 2008,the workers under surveillance increased by 4.96%,but the annual effective dose per capita decreased by 11.84% and the annual collective dose decreased by 6.15% in 2009.Conclusion The annual effective dose per capita of the workers exposed to radiation showed a decline trend.Radiation protective measures have been improved and the management of radiation protection was strengthened in Sichuan province.
