An analysis of the temporal order in the evolution of urban spatial structure

This paper discusses the urban spatial structure in line with the change of temporal order. Based on the summary of resource structure, industry structure and spatial structure in agricultural economy and industrial economy, it stresses analyzing the basic rule of urban spatial structure:a gradual change of main productive factors from the land through the capital to knowledge. Moreover,it is proved that the changing trend of urban spatial structure follows the pattern from concentration to dispersion with different kinds of economic entities, etc. Finally, some countermeasures for improving the urban spatial structure have been advanced.
