Abstract
Objective:To study the relationship between expressions of estrogen receptor(ER) and progesterone receptor(PR) in uterine leiomyoma, its adjacent sites, myometrium and myomectomy with the uterine leiomyoma relapse.Methods:Expressions of ER and PR in uterine leiomyoma, its adjacent site and myometrium were determined by immunohistochemical SP method in 30 cases with uterine leiomyoma, and serum prolactin(PRL), follicle stimulating hormone(FSH), luteinizing hormone(LH), estradiol(E 2), progesterone(P) and testosterone(T) concentrations were measured with radioimmunoassay, with normal cycling women served as controls. After myomectomy is performed, part uterine were cut to 30 case with uterine leiomyoma(leiomyoma≥4).Results:(1)Contents of ER and PR were significantly higher in leiomyoma than that in its adjacent site uterine leiomyoma and myometrium(P0.01,P0.05).(2)Contents of PR were significantly higher in its adjacent site than that in myometrium(P0.05).(3)Serum sex hormone levels were not significantly different from patients before operation and controls(P0.05)?(4)Leiomyoma were reserved in nine cases part uterine specimen(9/30).Conclusion:The relapse of uterine of leiomyoma and small leiomyoma reserved. When myomectomy is performed, the myometrium around the leiomyoma or part uterine should be cut at the same time.
