On ZHANG Ailing's Contributions to Popular City-life Novels

Abstract

After analyzing what contributions the woman writer makes to popular Chinese city-life novels from the perspective of her times and surroundings, the author points out that the reason why ZHANG Ailing occupies an important place in the history of Chinese contemporary literature is that she contributes a lot to the development of China's city-life novels.
