An Analysis on the Popular Character of Novels by Zhang Ailing

Abstract

From the very beginning of the Chinese novel creation,there co-exist two modes: the refined and the popular novels.In 1940s,the joint of these two trends had gradually become obvious,in which Zhang Ailing's novel was bright scenery.This paper has tried to analyze the popular features in her novel collection Legend,aiming to find out certain experience to learn from for the novel creation now.
