Clinical Significances of Expression of COX-2,MMP-9 in Thyroid Carcinoma

Objective To discuss the expression and clinical significance of COX-2,MMP-9 in thyroid carcinoma.Methods Expression of COX-2,MMP-9 are detected in thyroid carcinoma、thyroid adenoma、nodular goiter and normal thyroid tissue by immunohistochemical method.Results Expression of COX-2,MMP-9 in thyroid carcinoma groups are obviously higher than that of thyroid benigh tumors,which presents an intimate relationship with age,tumor size,membrane integrality and clinical stage(P0.05),the expression of COX-2 is correlated with lymph node metastasis(P0.05),but negatively correlated with patient gender(P0.05).Conclusion Detection of COX-2 and MMP-9 can act as an preoperative diagnosis method for thyroid cancer and an evaluation of lymph node metastasis and tumor infiltration as an malignant biological indicator,which provide an effective treatment for patients.
