Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of Radix spirulina on the immune function of mouse. Methods The mice were feed with Radix spirulina with the doses of 333.4、666.7 and 1333.4mg/kg body weight, once a day for 30~35 days. And then 7 immune function indexes were measured to analyze the effect of Radix spirulina on immune system of mice. Results Compared with the results of controls the Radix spirulina was capable of stimulating the proliferation and transformation of splenic lymphocyte of mice of experimental group;the quantity of antibody-producing cell and the sheep erythrocyte antibody levels in serum of mice of experimental group were increased;the ability of mononuclear macrophage eliminating carbon and mononuclear celiac macrophage phagocytic activity were raised;the delayed allergy was accelerated;but the activity of NK cell was no obvious raised. Conclusion Radix spirulina is capable of enhancing the immune function of mice.
