Geological characteristics of the Liuxing Pb-Zn-Au-Ag polymetallic deposit and prospecting criteria,Guangxi

The discovery of the Liuxing Pb- Zn- Au- Ag polymetallic deposit is one of typical prospecting achievements in the surrounding areas of the Kunlunguan granite rockmass in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.The deposit is located within the clastic rocks of Middle- Upper Cambrian Huangdongkou Formation.The Pb- Zn- Au- Ag mineralization has a close relationship with the deep Nandan- Kunlunguan fault and Kunlunguan granite rockmass,and orebodies are directly controlled by the radiant fractures at the periphery of rockmass.The deposit genesis belongs to the hydrothermal vein type deposit,the Pb,Zn,Ag and other metallic elements are enriched in the hydrothermal stage,while the Au is enriched in the supergene stage.This paper summarized the geological characteristics of the deposit and discusses the prospecting criteria which can guide the exploration of this type polymetallic deposits in this region.
