Application of gas drainage technology with large diameter horizontal borehole to Qianqiu Coal Mine

Abstract
The paper introduced the technical method and benefits of the gas drainage with large diameter horizontal long boreholes applied to No.21121 fully mechanized top coal caving mining face in Qianqiu Mine.The paper made a comparison of the advantages and disadvantages between the gas drainage at high level with boreholes in rock strata and the gas drainage at low level with high level boreholes.The results showed that the gas drainage technology at a high level with large diameter horizontal long boreholes would have a high drainage flow,high borehole efficiency,stable drainage result and other advantages.
