Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of warm-dredging needling method in treating cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type.Method Ninety patients with cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type were randomized into a treatment group and a control group,45 in each. The treatment group was managed by warm-dredging needling method, and the control group received conventional acupuncture treatment. After 3 treatment courses, the clinical efficacies and function scores of the two groups were compared.Result The recovery rate and total effective rate were 66.7% and 97.8% respectively in the treatment group, versus 28.9% and 82.2% in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P0.01,P0.05).The intra-group comparison of function score showed remarkable differences in both groups before and after treatment(P0.01),and the result in the treatment group was significantly better than that in the control group after treatment(P0.05).Conclusion Warm-dredging needling method is effective in treating cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type.
