Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of low-dose of glucocorticoid combined with N-acetylcysteine( NAC) in the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Methods 110 idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis patients were randomly divided into two groups. All patients were given NAC treatment, and the observation group( 55cases) was additionally treated with small dose of glucocorticoid therapy. Their clinical effect was compared between the two groups. Results After the treatment, the improvement of main clinical symptoms and the incidence of adverse reactions was more pronounced in the observation group than in the control group( P 0. 05). Conclusion Low-dose of glucocorticoid combined with NAC has good curative effect and high safety in the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
