Abstract
The pot experiment was carried out to deal with the growth and leaf physiological characteristics of winter wheat seedlings under different soil drought conditions. The results showed that the plant height, leaf area, leaf dry weight, stem dry weight, root dry weight, total biomass, leaf water potential and leaf RWC decreased with the decrease of soil water;however,R/S,leaf WSD,soluble sugar content, proline content, permeability of plasma membrane,MDA content,SOD activity and POD activity increased with the decrease of soil water. In a word,drought-resistance of winter wheat seedlings could be increased by raising root weight ratio, and by changing leaf physiological characteristics.
