Abstract

Objective To investigate the correlation of serum Lipoprotein(a) Lp(a) ,high sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP) to coronary artery stenosis. Methods Four hundred and eighty patients underwent coronary angiography. Lipoprotein(a) and high sensitive C-reactive protein were measured in 480 patients. The severity of coronary artery lesions was evaluated by the number of diseased arteries. Results ⑴The serum Lp(a) and hs-CRP levels in patients with coronary heart disease were significantly increased in CHD patients than those in control group respectively (P0.01).⑵The serum Lp(a) and hs-CRP levels in the groups of single, double and three vessels pathological changes were higher than those in the control group respectively(P0.01).⑶ Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that Lp(a) was significantly associated with an increased risk of CHD1 (OR=1.025,P0.01) and hs-CRP was significantly associated with an increased risk of CHD(OR=1.281,P0.001) independent of other risk factors of CHD.⑷ Lp(a) was associated with hs-CRP(P0.01). Conclusion Lp(a) and hs-CRP were significantly associated with artery stenosis, which were independent of other risk factors respetively in patients with CHD.
