Abstract
Border gateway protocol (BGP 4) is the primary routing protocol between autonomous systems in wide area networks. This paper studies the relationship between link state information and the network BGP topology to analyze the impact of routing policies on BGP routing information propagation. A method was developed to analyze the best process for routing information propagation with concrete BGP routing policies. The validity of the method was proven theoretically and the method was used to analyze routing information propagation in several simple topologies. The results are used to configure network management and implementation of BGP 4.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
