Effect of Abdominal Manipulation Combined with Acupuncture on Cervical Spondylosis of Vertebral Artery Type

Abstract

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of abdominal manipulation combined with acupuncture on cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type. Methods:120 patients with cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type were recruited and randomized into two groups.60 cases in the treatment group were treated by abdominal manipulation combined with acupuncture,and the other 60 cases in the control group were treated by acupuncture only. Results:The total effective rate was 93.3% in the treatment group versus 86.6% in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P0.05). Conclusion:Abdominal manipulation combined with acupuncture has a higher effective rate compared with single acupuncture treatment,which has a crucial meaning to the treatment of cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type.
