Abstract

Objective:To study the depside salt from Salvia Miltiorrhiza on blood platelet function and MMP-9 in patients with unstable angina. Methods: 60 patients with unstable angina pectoris were randomly divided into depside salt from Salvia Miltiorrhiza group (group A) and Danshen Injection control group (group B). Every group was treated for 14 days. The changes of blood platelet packingfraction and MMP-9 in the two groups were observed. Results: In group A,blood platelet packing fraction and MMP-9 were decreased more than that in group B. Conclusion: Depside salt from Salvia Miltiorrhiza can obviously inhibit the aggregation and activation of platelet, and the expression and secretion of MMP-9.
