Abstract

We review the research on the structure and function of the caudal-related homeobox transcription factor 2(CDX2),CDX2-transgenic mice,gastric cancer,intestinal metaplasia and gastro-oesophageal junction(GEJ) in recent years.The significance of CDX2,which is a specific transcription factor in the early metaplasia is also discussed.But CDX2 as an early intestinal metaplasia signs,whether relation with the gastric carcinoma prognosis,still needs further study.However,it may be an early signs of intestinal advanced gastric cancer.
