Clinical observation of cough variant asthma treated by oral administration and acupoint sticking of Chinese herb

Objective To observe the clinical effects of cough variant asthma( CVA) treated by oral administration and acupoint sticking of Chinese herb. Methods 96 patients with CVA were randomly divided into two groups: treatment group( 50 cases) treated by oral administration and acupoint sticking of Chinese herb,control group( 46 cases) treated by western conventional therapy. The effects were observed after two groups were treated 3 courses. Results Comparing two clinical outcomes,the overall response rate of treatment group( 94. 0%) was higher than control groups( 80. 4%),there is significant difference in statistics( P 0. 05). The levels of serum IgA and serum IgG after treatment were higher than those before treatment in the treatment group( P 0. 05),and the treatment group increased more significant than the control group( P 0. 05). The globulin of serum IgE in the two groups were less than those before treatment( P 0. 05). Conclusion Oral administration and acupoint sticking of Chinese herb has better effect on the treatment of child cough variant asthma,is worth of clinical application.
