CT Diagnosis of Inverted Papilloma in the Nasal Cavity and Paranasal Sinuses

To evaluate the value of CT in diagnosis of inverted papilloma in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinu- ses. Methods: CT information of 20 patients with inverted papilloma of nasal cavity and pamnasal sinuses confirmed by pathology was analyzed retrospectively. Results: The tumor usually showed a irregular soft tissue mass around the middle nasal meatus, 15 ca- ses involved the unilateral nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses in the meantime. The most common bony change was bony destruction. Conclusion: For inverted papilloma in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses, the CT examination can help to observe the location and extent of tumor, help to judge whether there are postoperative recurrences or not, and provid reliable evidence for diagnosis.
