New Criminal Law of Supreme Qing Dynasty and Influences of Japan's Law of Crime

Aiming at breaking away from crisis home and abroad,Qing Dynasty had to begin a series of social reforms and change its laws during the last ten years of its ruling.New Criminal Law of Supreme Qing Dynasty,which was deeply influenced by modern crime code of Japan and Japanese criminologists,was a specific example of the law reform at that time.The new criminal law adopted the principles,systems and terms defined in the crime code of Japan.Besides,general provisions and specific provisions were made according to those in laws of Japan so that all laws in one,the traditional method of law compiling,was replaced and the modernization of criminal law in China started from then on.
