Abstract

Objective To evaluate the quality and academic level of the Chinese Journal of Aesthetic Medicine. Methods According to the database of Chinese Medical Citation Index (CMCI), citation rate and authors' information of the papers published in this journal from 2003 to 2007 were analyzed and evaluated. Results The total frequency of citation was 2501, average citation rate was 39.2%, and each original paper was evenly cited 2.2 times by other papers. The highest citation times of each original paper was 15. Conclusion The papers published in Chinese Journal of Aesthetic Medicine were of high quality, had unique style and special features, and written by stable authors. It is the most important information source of Chinese Aesthetic Medicine research, and is a medicine journal of statistic source in China.
