Three-dimensional Ultrasound Technology in Diagnosis and Treatment of Septate Uterus

Objective:To explore the value of three-dimensional ultrasonography in the diagnosis of mediastinal uterus and guidance on the clinical significance of mediastinal hysteroscopic resection.Methods:76 patients suspected mediastinal uterus,were respectively scanning the vagina 2D and 3D ultrasound.Uterine septum reconstructed with omniview technology was accurately measured to guide the hysteroscopic resection of the mediastinum.All results were analyzed.Results:The sensitivity,specificity and accuracy of the three-dimensional ultrasound for diagnosis of septate uterus were higher than the two-dimensional ultrasound,the difference were significant( P 0.05).After hysteroscopy,uterine septum was completely resected,with no complications.Conclusion:Three-dimensional ultrasound is a reliable screening tool,better than two-dimensional ultrasound in diagnosis for septate uterus,can also guide the hysteroscopic resection of mediastinal down,avoiding the side effects,with important clinical applications value.
