Abstract

Objective To explore the value of three-dimensional ultrasonography in the diagnosis of mediastinal uterus and its guidance on the clinical significance of mediastinal hysteroscopic resection. Methods 76 patients suspected mediastinal uterus, respectively were scanned via the vagina 2D and 3D ultrasound.Uterine septum reconstructed with omniview technology was accurately measured to guide the hysteroscopic resection of the mediastinum. All results are analyzed. Results The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of the three-dimensional ultrasound for diagnosis of septate uterus were higher than the two-dimensional ultrasound, the difference was significant(P0.05).After hysteroscopy, uterine septum was completely resected, with no complications. Conclusion Three-dimensional ultrasound is a reliable screening tool, better than two-dimensional ultrasound in diagnosis for septate uterus, can also guide the hysteroscopic resection of mediastinal down, avoiding the side effects, with important clinical applications value.
