The application of octreotide in the treatment of early postoperative inflammatory ileus

Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of Octreotide on early postoperative inflammatory ileus.Method:96 patients with early postoperative inflammatory ileus were randomly divided into the treat-ment group(n=50) and the control group(n=46).The treatment group received the general non-surgical treatment and octreotide,the control group only received the general treatment,the indexes including the gastrointestinal decompression amount,the abdominal symptoms,the anal exhaust time and the improvement of abdominal plain film of two groups were compared.Results:Compared with the control group,the index-es of Decompression treatment group were significantly improved.Conclusion: Octreotide could inhibit the secretion of the digestive tract,reduce the inflammation and the edema of intestinal wall,and promote en-terokinesia.Treatment of early postoperative inflammatory ileus with Octreotide is simple,has good clinic effect,and is worth using widely.
