Abstract

Seeds of Dalbergia odorifera were treated by three plant growth regulators of 6-BA, IBA, GA3 and distilled water. The content of soluble sugar, starch, protein and fat of seeds were determined during germination. The results showed as follows:seeds of D. odorifera showed a downward trend in the soluble sugar content in all treatments. The starch content dropped from 0.6% which was the one of the third day to 0.2% below when the seeds ended germination. In the early period of germination(3~6 d), starch content of seeds changed little with the treatment of 6-BA, but there was a significant downward trend in the later period of germination. Changes of protein and fat content were relatively stable, and inapparent after treatment of three plant growth regulators.
