General Accounting on Issue of Emperor Xiaowen of Northern WEI Dynasty to Move Capital to Luoyang

The reason for Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern WEI Dynasty to move the capital to Luoyang was because of the culture advantage of Luoyang. Although Pingcheng where the former capital was situated, had a more favorable position in economy than Luoyang, Pingcheng was abandoned for the sake of short existence of the imperial powers. The general comment is that the positive factors were greater than the negative ones and the transference made some contribution to the Chinese history.
