The Application of GIS in Distribution Automation System

Abstract

GIS is a computer system which collects, stores,manages,searches and synthetically analyses all kinds of geographic space information, and outputs multiform data and graphic products. The GIS data organization and its main offline and online applications in power distribution automation are introduced. A system development model based on groupwares is presented and the necessity and feasibibilty of building a WebGIS is given.
