Application of Geographic Information System in power system automation

Abstract

The application of Geographic Information System(GIS) to the power system is the only way for the digitalization and informatization. Through the analysis of GIS application, related technology and typical implementation examples of automated distribution system in power system at both home and abroad, this paper elaborated the integral design idea of merging GIS application and development and power system automation, as well as the application framework of the power GIS based on Web service and indicated the further development direction.
