Abstract

Objective To explore the application effect of continous negative pressure sputum suction for the tracheotomy patients who were choking strong. Methods There were 110 tracheotomy patients were randomly divided to two groups.55 of them made up a control group and the others made up the experiment group. The traditional method of sputum aspiration was used for the control group, while the tracheal casing remaining negative pressure sucking phlegm sputum suction tube was used in the experiment group. It was not only to compare their oxygen saturation and respiratory rate befor and after sputum suction, but also the irritating cough btracheal mucosa, bleeding, sputum, the degree of difficulty breathing. Results There were no abvious diferences between the two groups on the oxygen saturation and respiratory rate before suctioning(P0.05),but there were significant differences about the oxygen saturation and respiratory rate in the control group and experimental group after sputum suction(P0.01).Significantly difference were presented on the average of SpO2 and respiratory rate in the experimental group before and after sputum suction(P0.01);oppositly,there was no abvious diference in the control group(all P0.05).As far as the experimental group was concerned, irritating coughb tracheal mucosa, bleeding, sputum, the degree of difficulty breathing were appeared after sputum suction, but the putum volume was significantly less than the control group three days later. After comparing the two groups, there were obvious statistical significance(all P0.01).Conclusion The indwelling tracheostomy tube in patients with tracheotomy suction negative pressure suction tube to the suction method is superior to a traditional suction method. It is worthy of clinical application.
