A Study on Spatial Pattern of County's Tourism Competitiveness in Hangzhou Metropolitan Area

Abstract

County Tourism is an important part of regional economic development. This paper builds a county tourism competitiveness evaluation index system, carries on quantitative analysis of20 counties tourism competitiveness of Hangzhou Metropolitan Area by applying the analytic hierarchy process(AHP)method.The results show that: there is a big difference in counties' tourism competitiveness of Hangzhou Metropolitan Area. From spatial pattern aspect, tourism competitiveness Shows a gradual weakening trend outward from the periphery of the main city. More specifically, the counties whose tourism market is more competitive are mainly in the periphery of each main city. Tourism elements competitiveness is in a balanced distribution of Hangzhou metropolitan area. Tourism environment competitiveness has a high degree of concentration, mainly in the main city of Hangzhou surrounding. the counties whose tourism development potential is more competitive are mainly in the northwestern region of Hangzhou metropolitan area、Chunan and Zhuji.
