Structure and Evolution of Tourism Economy Network in Wuhan Metropolitan Area

Tourism economy is an important reflection the level of tourism development. This study applied the tourism economy contact intensity model and social network analysis, with 2001, 2007, and 2012 as the research time section,analysis the structure and evolution characteristics of the tourism economy network and influencing factors in Wuhan Metropolitan Area. This study result shows that, Wuhan presents as the center of tourism economy distribution pattern in Wuhan Metropolitan Area, Wuhan has strong monopoly in tourism economic network structure. Tourism economy network connection density is low, in recently years, the network structure become increasingly ascension. Tourism economy network with obvious core-edge structure in Wuhan Metropolitan Area, the core region has prominent status,space radiation effect gradually enhanced. Tourism economy network has basically formed the core node, and has distinct gradation in Wuhan Metropolitan Area.The level of economic and social development, tourism resource endowment, and tourism traffic accessibility influences the tourism economy network structure in Wuhan Metropolitan Area.
